I drove to Louisville, Kentucky (~2 hours away) Friday night to stay the night with my friend. Averaged 33 MPG according to the car, which has been almost 1.5 MPG low each time. So I figure I was around 34-ish MPG. That was with the cruise set for 65 on the first 30 minutes of the trip and 75 the rest of it. Auto climate control was set as well, but I did turn it off after a while because it usually wants to blast the fan and assumes I’m freezing when all I really wanted was a little heat.

And, I left for home this morning at 6:15 A.M. I-64 was a ghost town, which is how I like it.

That's awesome, the compressor was probably taking about 1 MPG. Think about how great your fuel economy will be when they switch back to summer blend!

Good job. I attempted to “hypermile” my pickup and still got 21. I quit.

Don't feel bad. My truck is in dire need of a tune-up, and it currently averages 13.4. It also doesn't get driven a lot for that reason.

Nah, your pickup is awesome. The impractical fuel economy just ads character
